MOMENTUM MOTORSPORT’S RETURNING FR AMERICAS DRIVER KENT VACCARO AIMS FOR A CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE IN THE 2020 SEASON

It is time to go racing and Momentum Motorsports could not be more ready. Competing in the FR Americas Powered by Honda program in 2019, this South Carolina based racing team showed some tough competition placing them in the middle of the point standings at the end of the season. With front of the field speed, four Momentum Motorsports drivers competed throughout last season earning multiple pole positions, podium results and Hard Charger Awards, but in 2020, they are aiming for the series title.

This year with their returning FR Americas driver Kent Vaccaro, Momentum Motorsports is sure to make some moves. Taking advantage of an extended off season due to COVID-19, Vaccaro has been able to log some extra test and development laps as well as take part in some wheel-to-wheel racing across the eastern half of the country. Earning a podium in the first race of the season in 2019, Kent Vaccaro and Momentum Motorsports will look to do the same this coming weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio for the first round of their 2020 campaign.

“We can’t wait to get back to racing,” explained Phil Picard, Owner of Momentum Motorsports. “We had a busy offseason moving into our new trackside location at Carolina Motorsports Park, but also completed multiple test sessions to prepare for the season. While 2020 has been a whirlwind in many ways, we are looking forward to return to some normalcy this weekend while at the racetrack.”

Vaccaro will begin his 2020 racing season at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course June 25th. With a Promoters Test Day before the official weekend kicks off on Friday, June 26th and an expanded FR Americas grid expected, Vacarro will aim to the front of the field once wheel-to-wheel action commences on Saturday and Sunday.
